The first hour will cover different modalities of rehabilitation and will review what cases may benefit and which are contraindications.  Participants will learn how to evaluate patient response and how to objectively assess progress over time.  The practitioners will also learn what is feasible to do in private practice and when it is appropriate to refer patients for more complex care.

The second hour will review signs of pain in the small animal patient, including how to anticipate pain.  Pain scoring will be discussed.  Appropriate analgesia options will be reviewed, including conventional and alternative options.

Approved for 2 CE credit hours.
