“Pitfalls in pancreatitis diagnosis and treatment”
and
“IMHA case management: I made the diagnosis – now what?”
Approved for 2 CE credit hours
The first hour will cover the pitfalls in canine pancreatitis diagnosis. Many cases are wrongly diagnosed on serum methods while other important differential diagnoses are disregarded. Understanding the limitations of these tests and appreciation of what exactly what is being measured will enable the practitioner to be more successful. Understanding the broad clinical appearance of the condition, as well as the pathophysiology, will also be stressed.
The second hour will touch on diagnosis of IMHA but will emphasize case management after the diagnosis. Use of immune-modulating medications and their side effects will be the primary focus. Proper tapering and preventing relapse of this condition will also be addressed.
Cost:
- $40 per person for NYSVMS or NYSAVT members (cash or check only, NYSVMS attendance certificate included).
- $140 per person for non-NYSVMS or non-NYSAVT members (NYSVMS attendance certificate included). $90 goes to CDVMS (cash or check only), and $50 goes to NYSVMS for certificate (check or credit card only).
- $90 per person for non-NYSVMS or non-NYSAVT members who do not want an attendance certificate.
- Payment must be made at the door; there will be no billing later.
RSVP Deadline: Friday, March 20th, 9 a.m.
Please RSVP to CDVMSCE@gmail.com. To become an association member prior to the session, visit www.nysvms.org or www.nysavt.org.
Since CDVMS must guarantee payment to the venue for a specific attendance level, registration fees are required unless cancellations are received prior to the RSVP deadline.
