Canine Aggression in the Vet’s Office

6:30 - 7:20 p.m.

Approved for 1 CE credit hour


Attendees will be introduced to different types of learning and learning theory, canine body language and the motivation for aggression displayed in the veterinary hospital setting. Several restraint and behavior modification techniques will be discussed, along with a suggested protocol for managing dogs showing aggression in the veterinary setting.


Canine Cognitive Dysfunction Syndrome

This seminar will define Canine Cognitive Dysfunction Syndrome (CDS) and discuss the associated pathophysiology, including a brief discussion on the neuropathology that makes it a suitable model for Alzheimer’s disease. The laboratory and clinical diagnostic criteria, as well as treatment options, will be discussed in some detail.


Quit Hitting your Sister (Inter-dog Aggression in the Home)

Approved for 1 CE credit hour


Attendees will learn about triggers and diagnoses for dogs fighting in the same household. Diagnostic criteria for differential diagnoses and common co-morbid conditions will be discussed. Additionally, treatment plans for some of the most common diagnoses will be covered.
