The most common diseases seen in backyard and small poultry flocks will be discussed, to include viral, bacterial, parasitic and nutritional etiologies.  Clinical signs, post-mortem lesions, diagnostics and treatment modalities will be emphasized.  Zoonotic and reportable diseases originating from poultry, such as Salmonella and highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI), will also be covered.
