This seminar will cover anatomy of the nephron, with emphasis on the glomerulus, and physiologic regulation of glomerular blood flow will be reviewed. An overview of specific glomerular diseases, breed predispositions and diagnostic approach will be provided. Diagnosis and treatment approaches will emphasize International Renal Interest Society (IRIS) guidelines and ACVIM consensus statements. Cases will be used to provide additional clinical context.
