Hall of Veterinary Health at the Great NYS Fair

NYS Veterinary Medical Society hosts annually the Hall of Veterinary Health at the Great NYS Fair in Syracuse to promote veterinary health to the public in a fun, hands-on way. This year's dates are August 23 through September 4th.

Veterinarians, LVTs and vet students walk you through interactive displays that showcase pet health and prevention techniques and are available to answer your questions about proper care.

The Hall is open daily from 10 AM to 5 PM. Presenters teach live demonstrations three times a day at 12, 2 and 4 PM featuring live animals: dogs, hawks, falcons, owls, Shetland ponies, and all kinds of reptiles! Click here for the schedule.

Several new interactive exhibits have been added this year including a Rabies and Lyme Disease display, a veterinary dentistry exhibit, Comparative Anatomy white boards where kids can color animal skeletons and a welcome station with exhibit maps. These will add to the exhibits that were added in 2016 including build your own stethoscope, various animal skulls and a selfie station!

There is also a stuffed animal giveaway for all children both weekends. Click here for the 2017 Map of the Hall of Veterinary Health.
