Frustrating Felines? Common Intracranial and Spinal Cord Disorders of Cats

Lecture will count for 2 CE hours for NYS (approved by NYSVMS)

This two-hour lecture covers common brain and spinal cord disorders of cats. This lecture will provide numerous real-world examples of feline neurologic disorders incorporating case videos, MRI, and other diagnostics. The first half of the lecture will briefly touch on some of the challenging aspects of the neurologic exam in cats due to their inherent nature. We will then discuss the most common disorders of the brain, including feline epilepsy, common brain tumors, vestibular dysfunction, and feline ischemic encephalopathy. The second half of the lecture will turn to common spinal cord disorders, including spinal cord neoplasia, infectious diseases, intervertebral disc disease, and fibrocartilaginous embolic myelopathy.
