Cancer Cliff Notes in Dogs and Cats

Presented by: Dr. Sue Ettinger, DVM, DACVIM (Oncology)

Got cancer questions? The diagnosis of cancer can be overwhelming for both clinician and the pet owner. There are a confusing number of diagnostic tests, prognostics factors, and treatment protocols. This presentation will highlight the essential information you need to know in practice. This lecture will cover 5 common canine and 5 common feline cancers. For each, we will review the information you need to tell owners, how to say it, including the necessary (and not necessary) diagnostics, treatment options, survival times with and without treatment, supportive care options, and prognosis.  We will also review new therapies available or in development. These talks will provide practical tips and tricks you can use tomorrow when you go back to work.
