Topics in Neurology:  Seizure Management, Disc Disease, and Head/Spinal Trauma


This neurology short course will cover pertinent clinical aspects of seizure management, disk disease and head/spinal trauma in dogs and cats. Seizure management will relate mainly to canine epilepsy. Focus will be placed on drug therapy, but other potential anti-seizure therapies will be briefly introduced. Both medical and surgical management of Type I disk disease in the cervical and TL spinal regions will be discussed. Emergency diagnostics and management of dogs and cats with brain and spinal cord trauma will also be covered.



 Approved by NYSVMS for 3 CE credit hours
